Jeremy/Supernova (League Of Mutants)

Jeremy/Supernova (League Of Mutants) [Link]

Sunday, January 10, 2016

"League of Mutants" is a Panzish TV drama, based on the superhero comics of the same name. It's similar to the X-Men franchise, but different nonetheless.

Jeremy Foster used to be a regular eleven-year old. With mutant powers. And those powers kept increasing. So one day, he actively sought out the facility in which most of the mutants are more or less held captive. At the end of season 1, he used his powers to deactivate a dangerous force field by entering it, which resulted in him being known as "Supernova." His powers include: telepathy, telekinesis, energy (and temperature) control, laser vision, and the ability to temporarily paralyze other living creatures (including humans, of course).

The character actually debuted in Leon's series, "A Panzburg Story," and was one of the main forerunners for "LoM."

Other mutants include Element 26, Pariah, Omnivore, The Clone, Machinery, and her brother Velocity.

Jeremy/Supernova is often shown doing this gesture to read other people's minds. It's not necessary for the mind control to work, but he does it anyway, so it's his signature move.

The Lucky Mindmaps are a band from Panzburg, Panzland. They are very famous. In 2014, they went on tour with organ player Hern Haldamar, who used to be a member of the band GCP.

"Octavarium" is an album by American Progressive Metal band Dream Theater. Together, the eight songs of the album form an octave. "Octavarium", the title track, is the last song on the album. If you listen to it repeatedly, you really are "trapped inside this Octavarium."

The line does actually appear in the song, where it's screamed furiously by a desperate James LaBrie.

The fattest of the Snobbles, Pong, first appeared in season 2 in one of the most well-known episodes of Snobble TV, entitled "Pong, the New Snobble." Even though this was thirty years ago, people still keep calling him "the new snobble."

Nankipour is a legendary city in which Tondo the Just is said to have defeated the thousand armies of Emperor Mazhoul. The "Battle of Nankipour" as it is referred to nowadays, has been depicted in various works of art (literature, music, and movies). The Temple of Nanke was built after the war to thank the Goddess (of Nanke) for the victory of Tondo and his army against the Empire.

The real temple actually isn't much bigger, for Tondo himself was only a small man accomplishing great deeds.
